Terms of Service

Last updated: July 12, 2026 · BC Web Design · Rockford, IL

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the services provided by BC Web Design ("we," "us," or "our") to you ("the Client"). By requesting, purchasing, or using our services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Services

BC Web Design provides website design, development, and related services for local businesses. The specific scope of each project is agreed upon in writing before work begins. Any work requested outside of that agreed scope may be quoted separately.

2. Pricing and Packages

We currently offer two options:

  • Website Build: a one-time fee of $950 for a custom website that you own outright.
  • Website + Care Plan: a $500 build fee, followed by $100 per month for ongoing updates, maintenance, monitoring, and backups.

Prices are quoted in U.S. dollars. We reserve the right to update our pricing at any time, but any change will not affect the price of a project already agreed upon in writing.

3. Payment

For one-time builds, payment terms are agreed upon before the project begins. For the Website + Care Plan, the monthly fee is billed on a recurring basis beginning after your site launches. Recurring payments continue until the plan is cancelled in accordance with Section 4.

4. Care Plan and Cancellation

The monthly Care Plan may be cancelled by either party with reasonable notice. If you cancel, your site remains yours, but ongoing updates, monitoring, hosting assistance, and support provided under the plan will end. Fees already paid are non-refundable, and no partial-month refunds are issued.

5. Revisions and Timelines

Each project includes a reasonable number of revision rounds as agreed in the project scope. We work to meet agreed timelines, but delivery depends on you providing content, feedback, and approvals in a timely manner. Delays in receiving materials from you may extend the project timeline.

6. Client Responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information and any content (text, images, logos, and similar materials) needed to complete your project. You confirm that you have the right to use any materials you provide, and that they do not infringe on the rights of any third party.

7. Ownership and Intellectual Property

Once a project is paid for in full, you own the final website and its custom content. We may retain the right to display the completed work in our portfolio and marketing unless you request otherwise in writing. Any third-party tools, fonts, plugins, or libraries used remain subject to their own licenses.

8. Third-Party Services

Your website may rely on third-party services such as domain registrars, hosting providers, scheduling tools, or analytics. We are not responsible for the availability, performance, or policies of those third parties, and their use may be subject to their own terms.

9. Warranties and Disclaimer

We take pride in delivering quality work. However, our services are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee specific business results, search rankings, traffic levels, or revenue outcomes from any website.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BC Web Design shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the services giving rise to the claim.

11. Termination

Either party may end a working relationship with reasonable written notice. If a project is terminated partway through, you are responsible for payment for work completed up to that point.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes shall be handled in the appropriate courts located in Illinois.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
